Winnie The Pooh

Winnie-the-Pooh turned 90! And, he adventured to Belgium from the Hundred Acre Wood. Disney wrote and illustrated this latest Winnie story, and chose us to produce and print it.

Disney meets Victoria

Disney beautifully illustrated Winnie’s adventures visiting some of Belgium’s most iconic destinations from the Grand Place in Brussels to the sandy beaches at the seaside. Disney gave us almost complete freedom to layout and print the content in imaginative, Disney style worthy of Pooh bear. This challenge was perfect for us.

Honey love

Pooh bear still loves his honey in the story. Which is why we chose a soft yellow paper embossed in a honeycomb pattern. This extra ‘touch’ made a ‘ohhh’ and ‘ahhh’ first impression on readers. We made the packaging to match with a transparent, honey-coloured envelope.

Vintage appeal

Since Winnie was born in 1926, we went for vintage-style typography with a splash of whimsy. Selected paper also had a distinct vintage appeal. We laser-cut the title – nothing but the best – and sewed the seams together in a flat singer stich.
